After Baconfest my buddy wanted to hit up Upright Brewing and I obliged. If you don’t know about Upright you better fucking ask somebody.
I was about to take a picture and this random psycotic drunk dude jumped in and posed. I am pretty sure he was holding his hand like that on purpose. Those are cases and kegs on the left and some big shiny metal things with some hoses on the right. I tried the Early Harvest which was brewed with hops from the owner/brewer’s backyard. There are more seasonals than year-rounds on tap and that’s the way it should be.

Finally we have the tasting room. They have a record player and the bartender loves it when people bring their own records and play DJ. Overall it looks like a pretty nice place, huh? Well get this, it is in the basement of a fucking office building. Is this seriously the best place they could find? They are only open on the weekends so you walk into a desolate work compound with a chained up lobby coffee shop and no signs of life only to take an elevator to the basement. Little weird. When Upright takes off and reaches maximum capacity, I hope they open another spot that is easier to find, more comfortable, and open everyday. They are lucky their beer is the shit, otherwise they would have failed by now.
