Sexy?

Hey dude and dudettes. Let’s talk music. I know that the festival is over and now it’s time to work some extra shifts at Wendy’s to make up that scratch you blew buying glow sticks and Advil, but ol SM is here for you. I couple of events coming your way that won’t blow your bank (ew).

1. Tonight: Whoa. Catch “Hot Gun: The Musical” in it’s final performance at Dante’s-

“The creators of last fall’s critically acclaimed “cock opera,” Chariots of Rubber, WonderDiamond Productions, present Hot Gun – a rock ’n’ roll re-imagining of the iconic blockbuster, Top Gun. Hot Gun will be performed live on stage at Dante’s, each Wednesday for a 200-seat, eight-week run, beginning May 12, during Portland’s Fleet Week.” -pipelinepdx

2. Friday June 11th, Mississippi Studios is having a great line up of DJ’s and bands for 12 smackers. I’m not a huge dance music, electronic distortion fan, but my friends tell me that Gold Panda and Soft Metals are the shit, so you should check it out. I am a fan however of Health, who is the starting band, so get there nice and early. Doors open at nine.

3. Saturday June 19th, East End presents Shellshag, Wampire and Golden Hours. Shellshag, sloppy-delicious-loud Rock. Wampire, fun-young-energetic-experimental dance shit and Golden Hours, not much info out there about these kids, but after Shellshag and Wampire, you should be drunk enough to dance to anything. Cheers.

Enjoy the music Portland.
