About

Stumptown Magazine is an online concern regarding events, locations and humans in Portland, Oregon. We at Stumptown Magazine (heretofore “SM”) strive to provide insightful analysis and views on news and events in Portland. Failing that, SM strives to provide jokes and/or earnest thoughts about goings on that come to our attention. If that is not possible, we will do our best to provide words combined in a series recognizable as actual human language in a manner accessible to our English-speaking readership, should one ever exist.

SM welcomes your thoughts, tips and submissions. Contact your editors:

Submission policy:

Oh, go ahead and send us stuff, why not. But make sure it’s some combination of funny/insightful/interesting/profane/wacky. And well written. No word limit, but don’t make it crazy long. Maybe fiction is OK? We’re not sure if fiction is OK, but if you have something that you think fits, send it on along. Photos, too, especially if they are of an event or happening that we haven’t covered. Oh and also: We only accept words and images about Portland. Send the submission, along with your name and email, here. We totally don’t have any money, so don’t even get your hopes up, re: payment.
